How much does PlayCourse cost?
The core plugin is free forever. PlayCourse Pro starts at £99/year for 1 site (Starter), £199 for 10 sites (Studio), £399 for 25 sites (Agency), and £799 for unlimited sites.
Do you charge per student or per course?
Never. Every plan includes unlimited courses, lessons and students. You only pay based on how many sites you run PlayCourse Pro on.
Can I pay monthly instead of annually?
Yes. Every tier offers monthly or annual billing — annual saves you roughly two months. You can switch cycles at any renewal.

Licensing
What counts as a "site"?
Each WordPress install where you activate Pro uses one activation, identified by domain. Staging copies on a different domain count separately, but you can deauthorize a site anytime to free the slot.
Can I move my license to another site?
Yes. Deauthorize a site from your dashboard and the activation is freed immediately for use on another domain.
What happens when my license expires?
Your courses keep working, but you stop receiving updates, new features and support. There's a 14-day grace period before Pro features pause.
Features
Do I need WooCommerce?
Only if you want to sell. PlayCourse is WooCommerce-native, so selling courses, bundles and subscriptions works the moment WooCommerce is active — but free academies run without it.
Does PlayCourse support SCORM?
Yes — Pro lets you upload and play SCORM packages alongside native PlayCourse lessons. It's included on Studio plans and above.
Are certificates verifiable?
Yes. Certificates are server-rendered PDFs, each with a unique public verification URL and QR code so anyone can confirm authenticity.
Can I sell to teams or companies?
Absolutely. Team & group seats let one buyer enroll a whole department, with manager dashboards and self-serve invites. Included from Studio.

What are the system requirements?
WordPress 6.0+, PHP 8.0+ (8.2 recommended) and MySQL 5.7+ or MariaDB 10.3+. PlayCourse runs on virtually any modern WordPress host.
Is there a REST API?
Yes. PlayCourse Pro ships a full read/write REST API so you can integrate with your own apps and tools. Available on Unlimited.
Does it work with Elementor?
Yes — 25+ native Elementor widgets let you design catalogs, dashboards, pricing tables and progress bars visually.
Can I export my data?
Yes. PlayCourse offers CSV import and export of courses and student data at any time — your content is always yours.
